First-hand accounts and supporting material
We intend to consider accounts from people describing their own experience. When a contributor has relevant records, such as a dated message, invoice, or service plan, an editor may review them to understand the account. A contributor’s recollection and a document are different kinds of material and should be identified as such.
Reviewing material does not mean every detail has been independently verified. We will describe what was reviewed and avoid implying a broader fact than the available source supports. We do not promise that any particular account will be published.
Fairness and responses
Before publishing a substantive account about a service provider, the intended process is to make a reasonable effort to request a response from the organization described. A response may be included with appropriate context. If no response is received by the editorial deadline, the story should say so accurately; silence is not treated as proof of an allegation.
We aim to represent a range of experiences and retain relevant context, including follow-up or a resolution when the contributor supplies it. We do not promise a particular outcome for a contributor or provider.
Attribution and personal details
We plan to agree with contributors on how their account will be attributed before it appears publicly. Display names should not reveal more than the contributor intends to share. We will avoid publishing unnecessary contact details, sensitive personal information, or details about other people who are not central to the account.
Corrections and updates
Readers and providers should be able to flag a specific factual error or provide relevant context. When an editor accepts a correction or a meaningful update, the intended practice is to change the story and note what changed. A request to remove an unfavorable opinion is considered separately from a specific, substantiated factual correction.
No star scores or automated publication
Broomees Reviews does not use star ratings or a composite score in this publication. A person must review each proposed story; submissions are not automatically turned into public pages. Contributor agreement is needed before publication.
